Bread Making 101

So I went over to my friends house today, and she taught me how to use my wheat grinder and how to make bread. It is crazy how much stuff you can make from just wheat. And I like home made bread way better. Corbin loves the cinnamon and sugar.

Thanks!

OK, I know that this is a bad picture but I couldn't get her to look up because she was too busy playing. I want to say thank you to Gary and Jenessa for the "play kitchen stuff". I love gifts that have her pretending. I had to do some raking outsides so I sat her down in the driveway and she played for an hour. Thanks again!

Snow, Go Away

The kids and I spent the day in Anchorage. We first went swimming at there favorite pool and than we went on the Coastal trail. The trail follows the coast from Anchorage and goes south. I thought the snow would be off but it wasn’t. But I drove all the way there so we went on it anyways. The kids brought there books but didn’t read them because there was so much to look at. The snow made my jog hard, I felt like I was running in sand. I can’t wait until the snow melts.

We Found a Dance Class

So we found Aubrey a dance class. If you have been reading my posts, I have been trying to find a dance class for Aubrey that was close by, not expensive, and that was taking girls. Well we found a ballet class that is girls from 3 and 4 years old. She doesn't get to dance in the spring recital because it is next month but I am just glad we found something. She loves it and showing off some of here moves.

Painting the Eggs

I know that this is out of order but I thought you would want to see some pictures of the kids coloring eggs. They couldn't get the scoop to lift the eggs so I just let them take it out with there hands. You can tell by Aubrey's pink hand in the bottom picture. It probably wasn't the best idea, but the paint came off by the next day.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Jesus Lives, that is the news from the North.

Aubrey and Corbin search for Easter eggs in the frigid temperatures.

Eagle River Nature Center

All Curt is thinking about is fishing!!! This is a view at the Eagle River. This river is choked with salmon in late June and fishing is not allowed.

We visited the Eagle River Nature Center just down the street from where we live. The landscape is absolutely breath-taking. Corbin and Aubrey had fun looking through the scope trying to find mountain goats on the cliffs. It was a beautiful day about 46 degrees.

Full Bubble

They must of filled there bubble right before Aubrey tried it. I don't know if you can tell by the picture but she made the bubble way above her head. She loves that station, we could play there for hours.

Chickadodal

So we named him Chickadodal. Don't worry, he isn't our new pet. We went to the imaginarium and they had a presentation on chicks. This one is only 8 days old. The kids loved it but Aubrey was scared to hold him, but showed him almost too much love when Corbin held it.

Thanks Christie

Thank you Christie for the shirt, well Aubrey thinks it is a dress. I don't know what it is about these Princess, but she loves them. She gets more and more girlie every day.

Easter Talk

What do you all think of when I say Easter? I have been asked to give a talk on Sunday and they just told me "because it is Easter Sunday than just speak on that." When I first heard that I thought of the whole Atonement, including the whole week. Because we don't go to church on Good Friday I thought I needed to talk on the whole passover week. But when I talked to Curt he told me that when he hears Easter he only thinks of the Resurrection. And if you look up Easter in Mormon Doctrine it only talks about the Resurrection. What would you like to hear on Easter? Please comment back and give your opinion. Thanks!

Princess Party

All the Princesses! She had such a fun time with all of them. I am just so glad that Aubrey made some new friends that have the same interest that she does. Only two of them are in her Nursery class but others live close by.

They decorated there own cupcake.

We made door signs. It was way easy for the girls because they were just stickers.

They made necklaces. I had to find beads that were big enough for them to do it and rope that wasn't so flimsy.

The earthquake

So we got to feel an earthquake yesterday. I was upstairs folding the clothes while the kids were down stairs having a snack. All of a sudden I fell shacking and I look over to the TV and it was shaking like crazy. I ran down stairs to get the kids but it was over before I even left my room. The kids weren't scared, they just gave me a face like "what is going on". Corbin thinks it was cool and talks about it all the time. Curt was at work and because he works on the 4th floor he felt more of the shaking afterwards.
The news says that it recorded at 4.7. Which I think is a pretty good one. When we decided to move to Alaska I didn't even think about earthquakes, I don't know why, we live by mountains and volcanoes. But for all you people that read my blog, we are OK, a little shook, but OK. Ha! Ha!

Aubrey's Birthday

The big 3!!!!!
Curt and I gave her a "How to be a Princess Kit" where it come with a DVD where they teach Aubrey how to be a Princess. She learns how to have a tea party, sing, dance, and bowel.

Thank you so much to Nana and Papa for the Dollhouse. She is really enjoying it.

Reindeer Farm

So we went to Palmer to see the reindeer farm. The moose was very friendly. It was closed by we took a quick look. We will probably go back in the summer so Aubrey can ride the horses, plus the LDS cannery is right down the rode. A member has a farm right next to the cannery where you can go and pick food and buy it there. I hear that it is less expensive and the food is so good. Palmer is about 35 minutes away, but the drive is gorgeous.

Have to be creative.

We call this snowball races. It is still in the low 30's so I have to try to be creative on the games we do. For some reason Corbin is not liking sledding lately but Aubrey still loves it. So I have to come up with other things. If anyone has any ideas just let me know, I think winter is going to be around for awhile.

Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, and Christie

Thanks for the package, guys! They love getting packages. Corbin loved his planet poster. He just lays in bed at night say the planets names over and over again. He tells everyone that his favorite planet is Saturn. Aubrey was in a great need of PJ's. She loved them because it was pink and it had princesses on it. We are using the money to buy her some new ballet shoes this weekend. Her other ones are getting way too small and she starts dance on Monday. She wants some pink ones this time. Thanks again!!
