Atlanta

My sister and her family just moved to Atlanta so we decided to make it a family reunion there last week. It was so much fun and to see everyone together, and making more memories. And because we are all part of the Anderson Family, it wouldn't be a reunion without every minute planned out.
The first full day we went to an amusment park. My brother made this orange shirts with a great saying on the back.
A-ROAR-OR
A foreign expression of jubilation at the beginning of a journey,
usually due to long waits in un-airconditioned cars.....
not knowing if mother or Christmas was coming first.
Synonym: Yaaaaaahoooooo.......

And after picture ----

They had so much fun stuff for the kids to experience.

This place you went and collected balls and ran up stairs and shot them at people. My dad was having too much fun hitting people.
That night they had a laser show where my smart sister brought wands for the girls and swords for the boys. Curt took that great picture!
We went to Turner Park where the Braves play. It was too bad that they lost in the playoffs because it would of been really cool to see them in action. Corbin got so sick this day, but he couldn't miss out.
Corbin asked me what the sign said that the cow was wearing. I told him that it said "Eat more chicken." It took him a moment but he thought it was so funny and kept telling everyone and explaining that cows are hamburgers so that is why the cow is telling everyone to eat more chicken because he doesn't want to get eaten.
And of course a trip to Atlanta wouldn't be complete if we didn't go to the aquarium. They say this is the biggest in the world.
Aubrey's favorite part was touching the sting rays and baby sharks. My arms got a great workout from holding her up.
We went boating one day and stopped to get some southern food from a great restaurant. It started getting dark on the way home, but luckily we had my dad and that they lighten the harbor really well.
My brother always gets the most expensive thing on the menu.
My favorite day was when we went to an apple orchard. They gave us a ride out to there trees and we got to learn about the different apples and pick our own. The apples there were amazing! Than they gave us a tour of the factory.
We did so much more....swim in the pool, go on a hay ride, went on hikes, had a talent show, a birthday party, went to OK Cafe and got free dinner, went shopping, got our hair done, went to Time Out for Women, looked at old houses, exercised, went to a pumpkin patch and played. These are just some of my favorite pictures.
My brother's kids didn't want to hike anymore.......

Projects

For all of you that don't know we bought the townhouse that we have been renting. We learned the long process of how to buy a home. During the process all I wanted to do is start making it mine, by painting and new carpet, but until it was final we couldn't get started. I tried to keep myself busy on other projects that I could do.

Door hanger for my grandma that I quilted.

I recovered our pillows:

I painted the table white and recovered the seats:

Of course I put plastic on it. One of the pleasures of having kids.

Curt and I modge podge the picture of the temple.

Also the seller picked up the tab on some of the things that they needed to fix in the home. One of the main things was the sliding door and deck.

This is a before picture:

And after:I am actually excited by our townhouse. I can finally do what I want to our house. We aren't making too many changes but it will make me very busy this winter.

Air Show

So we went to the airforce base to see the air show. I remember going to these shows when I was a kid so I knew that Corbin was going to have a blast. There were all shorts of planes. (not that I could name them, but you could ask Curt) We got to sit inside. Corbin of course, had all sorts of questions. All day was, "What does that button do?"

Look at his face, he was quite amazed.
May favorite show was the Canadian Snowbirds. They get so close, I don't understand how they don't run into each other.

A Harrier Jet showed us how he could hover. I thought it was cool, but it was so loud.

Camping Time

So I finally got Curt to go camping because we rented these hard cover pop-up campers. With all the kids, I think the bears could hear us coming miles away. We had so much fun, though I wish it didn't rain so much. We went with two other families and we even took Baylor. We fished, ate, hike, ate, laughed, and ate some more. I think Curt and I gain 3 pounds each that weekend.
Add ImageThe pop-up camper was really neat. The kids could of hung out there the whole time. They were so excited, of course they didn't go to bed until really late, they just stayed up talking about how cool the camper was.
The kids, plus two babies that are not in the picture.
On the way home we stopped at the city of Hope so Corbin could catch a fish. It took a couple minutes but he did it. He told me that his arm got so tried from reeling in the fish. He decided to keep it, (which was kinda disappointing because we have no more freezer space, we already have a freezer full of fish.) he fillet it with Curt and was fascinated with it being a mommy fish because it had a lot of eggs inside her.He was a proud boy that day and had to show everyone his fish.
