Projects

For all of you that don't know we bought the townhouse that we have been renting. We learned the long process of how to buy a home. During the process all I wanted to do is start making it mine, by painting and new carpet, but until it was final we couldn't get started. I tried to keep myself busy on other projects that I could do.

Door hanger for my grandma that I quilted.

I recovered our pillows:

I painted the table white and recovered the seats:

Of course I put plastic on it. One of the pleasures of having kids.

Curt and I modge podge the picture of the temple.

Also the seller picked up the tab on some of the things that they needed to fix in the home. One of the main things was the sliding door and deck.

This is a before picture:

And after:I am actually excited by our townhouse. I can finally do what I want to our house. We aren't making too many changes but it will make me very busy this winter.

Air Show

So we went to the airforce base to see the air show. I remember going to these shows when I was a kid so I knew that Corbin was going to have a blast. There were all shorts of planes. (not that I could name them, but you could ask Curt) We got to sit inside. Corbin of course, had all sorts of questions. All day was, "What does that button do?"

Look at his face, he was quite amazed.
May favorite show was the Canadian Snowbirds. They get so close, I don't understand how they don't run into each other.

A Harrier Jet showed us how he could hover. I thought it was cool, but it was so loud.

Camping Time

So I finally got Curt to go camping because we rented these hard cover pop-up campers. With all the kids, I think the bears could hear us coming miles away. We had so much fun, though I wish it didn't rain so much. We went with two other families and we even took Baylor. We fished, ate, hike, ate, laughed, and ate some more. I think Curt and I gain 3 pounds each that weekend.
Add ImageThe pop-up camper was really neat. The kids could of hung out there the whole time. They were so excited, of course they didn't go to bed until really late, they just stayed up talking about how cool the camper was.
The kids, plus two babies that are not in the picture.
On the way home we stopped at the city of Hope so Corbin could catch a fish. It took a couple minutes but he did it. He told me that his arm got so tried from reeling in the fish. He decided to keep it, (which was kinda disappointing because we have no more freezer space, we already have a freezer full of fish.) he fillet it with Curt and was fascinated with it being a mommy fish because it had a lot of eggs inside her.He was a proud boy that day and had to show everyone his fish.

skate park

Ever since Corbin saw a skate park he asks me if he can go. I told him when he doesn't need training wheel anymore he could go. So we finally took him and don't know if he will ever want to go back. He was brave, but I think he thought it was going to be a lot easier. He managed to go over 2 easier ramps but then said he was done. I wonder if he will ever try again. At least I don't have to hear him ask me every day if he could go to the skate park.

It is official

So this piece of paper is worth a whole lot of money and hard work. It was a great day when Curt got this in the mail. But what do you do with this it. Hang it where? I don't even know where our Bachelor degrees are, maybe I should look for them.
