So I let Curt go fishing with his boss. They travel about 2 1/2 hours to Seward where they docked his boat and went out to the ocean to fish. They didn't catch anything and Curt got alittle boat sick but I think is was one of his favorite days since we moved up here. He came back sunburned and smiling.

Father and Son
My two favorite boys in my life. They went to the father-son camp out, they couldn't camp because Curt had to work early the next morning but they went to some activities at that night. The campground is less than 10 miles from our house. Curt said they had fun even though Corbin didn't want to hear the talking part, he just wanted to walk around. It is amazing how much Corbin loves to do things with just dad and not Aubrey and Mommy.
Kincaid Beach
So we went down to Anchorage for Memorial Day. We needed a day off to relax and try not to think about all the stuff we needed to do. We decided to go to Kincaid Park that is location right on the ocean. I love how Anchorage has so many parks within the city limits. And I am not just talking about little parks, I am talking about the size of the park is approximately 1500 acres and total length of trails extends more than 30 miles.
Baseball Cake
Cakes
So I have wanted to learn more about cake decorating lately but they keep on canceling my class because there isn't enough for the class. So I have been trying to teach myself. It is amazing what you can watch on youtube. But I finally broke out the frosting bags and tips to try it myself. They turned out OK. I need to work on my frosting, it turned out to be too runny. If someone has a good butter cream frosting recipe, just pass it my way.

What is different?
So Aubrey has been asking us for months if she can get a hole in her ear so she can wear earrings. So I broke down and got them done. There was two ladies there so they pierced both of the ears at the same time. Aubrey cried but not for long, once I showed her earrings in the mirror she smiled. I still don't know how she became so girly. I wonder if she will ever grow out of it.
Crab and Shrimp Night
One of our favorite songs is about eating crab and shrimp. The kids think it is so funny. So I decided to have a fish night with crab and shrimp. ( You would think seafood would be inexpensive up here, but that isn't the case. ) Of course Aubrey wouldn't even try it, but that isn't a surprise. Corbin tasted them but made me finnish it for him. So I guess the kids love the song but not the food. At least I tried.

Curtains
So it is still getting lighter and lighter out. It doesn't get dark until 12:00 and the sun comes up again at 5:00. I decided to make curtains for the kids. The ladies at quilting club (some ladies in the Ward) helped me. Now I feel bad ditching them now that my curtains are done so I am starting a quilt with them. So the curtains turned out about the same price as if I bought some, but I got to pick what I wanted and I can say that I made something. If you can't see from the picture, Corbin's have planets on the bottom and Aubrey's has ballet shoes and crowns.

Corbin is an Astro
Because of the Wii, Corbin has took an interest in baseball. I signed him up for T-ball and he was put on the Astro's. I was surprised how big of a deal it is here. It is part of the National Little League so the teams and logos are from the main premier league.
The first time Corbin hit the ball he got so excited he brought the bat with him to first base. The second time he ran the wrong way, straight to third base. It was really funny.
Corbin thinks every ball that comes out to the field is his ball. He is the kid that runs to every ball even though it is on the opposite side of the field. He has games every Tuesdays and Thursdays, and than a practice on Saturdays. Baseball is going to fill our life for the summer. Corbin is either going to be playing or he is going to be talking about baseball.
Earthquake Park
So Saturday was beautiful so we went to earthquake park, it gets it name from the earthquake that they got in 1964. It was a flat park before the earthquake but as you can see by the second picture, it is now a hill. The park is one of the starting points for my favorite trail, the coastal trail. Curt has always been at work when I ran it. So I am glad he was able to enjoy it as much as we do when we go.
