New Camera
We got a new camera the other day, it made Curt very happy. Our old camera got dropped just too many times. These are just some of our new fun pictures, I hope you enjoy.
Oh my, the first day of school.....
Can you believe that Corbin is already old enough to go to school? I thought I could handle him going until we moved up here and found out that it is all day. So far so good. His teacher's name is Mrs Frost, she has taught for over 20 years, and you can tell because I find her very organized. He loves it and says his favorite parts of his day in going to singing class, gym, going to lunch and playing with the trains in his class. The first day wasn't as bad as I thought because I had a friend that has a daughter in the same class by my side. (I am talking bad for me, not for him) I think if I was by myself, it would of been a different story. But we are going to one of the best schools in Alaska and he as 4 other member kids in his class that he already knew. Mrs Frost
I decided to do a Co-op Preschool with some other women in the Ward. It is three days a week and we take turns and each take a week to teach preschool for a week. The great part is that it is free and Aubrey is social with other kids and learning a little. Aubrey loves it, and I do too. It will be the first time that I will have no kids and I can do something for myself. I am going to start exercising, playing basketball with some ladies in the ward, and have some real quite time.
Carter Park
So we went out to Carter Park, that is in Wasilla. It is on the lake that Sarah Paylin lives on. Baylor loves coming out with us to new places. The kids wanted to swim, I let them even though it was in the high 60' s.
In Alaska, they leave life jackets out by any water with a sign that says "kids don't float". I think Corbin and Aubrey wanted to swim because they knew I would make them wear one.
Baylor had such a great day, he crashed when we got home. I wish my kids still did that.

A new baby
Homer
I think Homer is my favorite city in Alaska, I only wish it was closer. We had to drive about 4 1/2 hours to enjoy the prettiest land I have ever seen. We went out when it was low tide to look for sea life and shells. I am so glad that is didn't rain too much that day, I was just sad we had to leave.

My parents left........ We are so glad they came and sorry to see them go. I think I could of got my dad to move up here if the fishing was better. They had great fishing the first weekend but got skunked the next weekend. We had so much fun. We did so much, we were on the go the whole too weeks. My kids and I got totally spoiled and loved every minute.
Combat fishing...... it really isn't that fun. I felt like I was going to hook the person next to me, not the fish. Too bad the fishing wasn't better than it was. We saw two baby bears when we went fishing. But they took off when people just yelled at them to leave. They are lucky the mommy bear wasn't around. Papa, Curt and Corbin went to a baseball game. They met the owner so they got the star treatment. Peggy, I thought you would love to see our big flowers that we have here, you should come and see them. This is the Yurt that we stayed at in Seward. It was really cool inside, full kitchen, bathroom and fit all 6 of us.
We took some of our fish that we caught to grill that night. Curt is an amazing cook with that fish. It is good because we have a lot of it. And of course smores!
My dad took the kids bowling when my mom and I were at the temple. Corbin has been looking forward to Papa taking him for weeks now. It might not look like he is having fun, but he said it was one of his favorite things he did when nana and papa came.
He told me that he kept on getting splits and that it is a lot harder than playing it on the Wii. Just thought I would add this picture in. I am suppose to say that it is the fish that Corbin caught.
